Kathmandu : An International Children’s Art Exhibition has begun in Thamel, Kathmandu. Organised jointly by the Artshala for creative juniors in Bangladesh and GP Koirala Art and Culture Department Nepal, the venue for the exhibition is the Mithila Yain Art Gallery in Thamel.
Started from Saturday, artworks by 55 children artists from Bangladesh and five from Nepal have been put up in the five-day exhibition.
Inaugurating the exhibition amid a function here, Ramesh Khanal of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts said artworks across the world had their own qualities, and such art expo connected Nepali child artists internationally. He however rued over a ‘lack’ of market for artistic creations by Nepali artists.
Similarly, the Artshala operator and director of Birgunj Charukhola Academy, Aashish Acharji said art exhibitions had further strengthened relations between Nepal and Bangladesh.
Shyam Sundar Yadav, chief of the Art, Culture Department, the GP Koirala Art and Culture Department, said the Foundation worked to link artists from across the world.
