Kathmandu : The country has reported 658 new cases of COVID-19 and one more fatality in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The new caseloads were confirmed from 6,643 tests carried out in various laboratories across the country.
During the same period, 456 infected people have been free of the infection. With this, the number of active cases of the virus in the country is 4,296.
So far, the death toll from the virus has reached 11,993 in the country.
At present, 4,134 infected people are in home-isolation and 162 in institutional isolation centres. Similarly, 50 infected ones have been admitted to intensive care units and next one is in ventilator support. The districts with zero infection cases are Manang, Mustang, Kalikot, Dolpa and Mugu while Kathmandu and Lalitpur have more than 500 cases each. –RSS
