Kathmandu: Deputy Inspector General of the Nepal Police, Ashok Singh, has resigned from his post.
Singh submitted his resignation letter to the Police Headquarters on Wednesday, said Spokesperson, Poshan Raj Pokharel. He was serving as the Chief of Sudurpaschim Province Police Office.
It has been believed that Singh tendered his resignation after a complaint has been filed at the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) over his date of birth. Singh however, has mentioned family reasons for the resignation.
