Kathmandu: The newly-appointed Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Raj Kumar Sharma, is taking the vote of confidence today, the Province Assembly Secretariat said.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to take the vote of confidence from the province assembly meeting as per the constitutional provision that the Chief Minister should take the vote of confidence from the province assembly within 30 days of the appointment.
Province Assembly Secretary Jibraj Budhathoki said that an all-party meeting is sitting at 11:00 am and the province assembly meeting would be summoned at 1:00 pm by today for the purpose of the vote of confidence motion.
In the Karnali Province Assembly, CPN (Maoist Centre) has 13 lawmakers, UML 10, CPN (Unified Socialist) and RPP one each.
The Nepali Congress has 14 lawmakers and one independent lawmaker in the province assembly.
