Medical supplies worth 4.2 million donated

Myagdi: Lions Club has donated medical supplies and equipment worth Rs. 4.2 million to the Darbang Primary Health Centre in Malika Rural Municipality.

At the initiative of the Lions Club of Darbang, Myagdi, the Lions Club International District 325 provided the equipment with funds from the Foundation of the Lions Club International.

According to President of Lions Club of Myagdi, Thaman Gautam, an x-ray, one computer radiography system, USG and electrolyte analyzer machine has been provided. The officials of the Lions Club handed over the equipment to the head of the center Dr Bijay Sharma.

On the occasion, Provincial Assembly member Resham Jugjali thanked the club for providing equipment to the primary health center based in a rural area and urged the health workers to utilize the equipment to provide better services to the citizens.

Likewise, Chairperson of the Municipality Beg Prasad Garbuja said that preparations are being made to upgrade the primary health center to a hospital, for which the donated equipments will be useful.
