Order to release Sandeep Lamichhane on bail

Kathmandu: The Patan High Court has ordered the release of cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane, who is in jail on rape charges, on bail.
Sandeep filed a petition in the Patan High Court against the order of the District Court Kathmandu to keep him in custody and proceed with the proceedings in the rape case.
In the same application, the joint bench of Judge Dhruvraj Nand and Ramesh Dhakal ordered Lamichhane to be released on a bond of 2 million.
With the order of the court, Sandeep will be released from prison.
On October 20, the police arrested Sandeep from Tribhuvan Airport.
