Ravi’s first speech in Parliament: Do not interfere in the investigation of corruption

Kathmandu: Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has said that the people have been looking for an answer to the unrest that has been happening in the country for years.

Addressing the first meeting of the Parliament, Lamichhane, who is also the chairman of the National Independent Party, said that when the people were disappointed by corruption scandals over the years, now the government will be ruthless.

Lamichhane also asked the leaders of other parties not to interfere in the corruption investigation. He said that now the people want change and expressed confidence that Parliament will also hear the voice of change.

Lamichhane expressed his commitment that he and his party will not be involved in any scandal.

Lamichhane said that the votes his party got are not for disappointment but for hope. He said that some people called it a vote of despair, “I want to call it not a vote of despair, but a vote of hope given by the Nepalese people.” It is a vote of hope for all political parties.
