Kathmandu: Both neighbours China and India have congratulated the newly appointed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and extended best wishes for his new term.
China extended congratulations via its embassy in Kathmandu. Spokesperson at the Chinese Embassy tweeted, “Congratulation to Chairman Dahal for being Nepal’s 44th Prime minister of Nepal.”
Similarly, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: “Warmest congratulations @cmprachanda on being elected as the Prime Minister of Nepal.”
Indian PM Modi also reminded that the unique relationship between India and Nepal is based on deep cultural connection and warm people-to-people ties. “I look forward to working together with you to further strengthen this friendship,” he hoped.
