Property worth Rs 4.2 million destroyed in fire

Solukhumbu: Two houses have been gutted in fire in the district, causing the loss of over Rs 4.2 million.
The houses belonging to Bhakta Bahadur Rai and Naudhan Rai from Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-9 in the district were destroyed in fire on Friday.
Police Inspector at District Police Office, Ram Kishor Shah, informed that the fire broke out from the Bhakta Bahadur’s kitchen. As it was not brought under control in time, it spread to neighbour’s house.
The houses were made up of mud and stone. The fire was doused jointly by the locals and police persons later.
