Kathmandu: A school bus hit a motorcycle driven by an armed police person at Kirtipur, leading to his death on Sunday morning.
The bus (Na 1 Ka 1612) belonging to the Modern Indian School hit Subash Chandra Ratela, 29, at the main road near the Armed Police Force’s Battalion located at Kiritipur Municipality-6.
Injured seriously in the incident, he was rushed to Bayodha Hospital, Balkhu for treatment. He however breathed his last at 10:00 am, according to senior superintendent of police, Rajendra Prasad Bhatta.
Ratela is originally from Koteli-5 of Jay PrithviBahadur Municipality in Bajhang district. He was working at the APF central office, Halchowk, Kathmandu.
Police have initiated investigation into the incident.
