Footballers picked for SAFF Women’s Championship

Kathmandu: Nepal has selected 40 footballers in the preliminary stage for the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024. Nepal is hosting the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 from October 17-30.
Main Coach of Nepali National Football Team, Rajendra Tamang, selected the players from among the best players.

Besides the players from the national team, Main Coach Tamang selected 40 players including those having outstanding performance in the ANFA Women’s League Competition. Those selected ones have been invited for closed door camp.

The selected players include Anjali Tumbapoo Subba, Anjana Thapa Magar, Usha Nath, Gita Rana, Amrita Jaisi, Samikshya Ghimire, Nisha Thokar, Puja Rana, Bimala BK, Hirakumari Bhujel, Pratikshya Chaudhary and others.

In the championship, Nepal is in the Group ‘B’ including Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Bhutan.

Likewise, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan are in the Group ‘A’. The matches of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 will be held at Dasharath Stadium in the Capital City.
