Heavy rainfall likely in Bagmati and Gandaki

Kathmandu: The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecasted a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. The department has issued a weather bulletin this evening with a forecast for the next 24 hours.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces till Wednesday morning, increasing the risk of landslides, said meteorologist Govinda Jha. At present the influence of monsoon winds and the low pressure line of monsoon gives rise to the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and few places in the remaining provinces.

Also there is a possibility of heavy rain in a few places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, the bulletin reads. On Wednesday afternoon the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country with possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and few places in the remaining provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
