Kathmandu: The Thai-Nepal Friendship Association has been formed with the aim of enhancing mutual relations, harmony and cooperation between Nepal and Thailand.
According to the Nepali Embassy in Bangkok, the Thai-Nepal Friendship Association was formed under the chairmanship of Thailand’s first Mt. Everest climber and businessman Vithidhnan Roznapanith.
Thai entrepreneur Kancha Gurung (Gabo) and Companard Anukul have been elected as vice presidents of the association.
Similarly, the members of the association are Krit Kunplin, Srihari Acharya, Karma Gurung, Umaporn Jiwaraporn, Arinrada Nimsang, Kesharian Jirabunjard, Ispa Gurung, Sunit Shrestha, Sakul Intakul and Atis Shrestha.
Speaking on the occasion of the event, Ambassador of Nepal Dhan Bahadur Oli praised the role of businessmen of Nepal and Thailand in enhancing people-to-people relations between the two countries. “Thai-Nepal Friendship Association will certainly stand as a pillar to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries,” he said.
Anil Shakya and Dhan Bahadur Oli have been selected as patrons of the association and Karma Rana and Benny Luckak have been selected as advisers, the association said.
