Three dead in separate road accidents in Rukum Paschim

Tribeni (Rukum Paschim): Three people died in separate road accidents in Rukum Paschim district today.

Masta Bahadur Oli, 45, of Chaurjahari municipality-13 and Pratik Buda, a 17-month-old infant and son of Sapana Buda of Sanibheri rural municipality-9 died in the jeep accident while Kamala Khadka Magar,65, of Sanibheri rural municipality-2 perished in a motorcycle accident, informed Police Inspector Bishnu Prasad Shrestha, at the District Police Office, Rukum Paschim. Oli breathed his last at Chaurjahari Hospital during the treatment while infant Pratik succumbed to the injury while being rushed to hospital in Surkhet for further treatment.

Khadka Magar was injured when a motorcycle with registration no 4288 knocked her down at Midhill Highway of Kharkhola of Sanibheri rural municipality on last Sunday. She was pronounced dead today at the Provincial Hospital at Surkhet today, shared inspector Shrestha.

Police have held motorcyclist Yamraj Bista from the same place and carrying forward the investigation into the same. The six injured ones in both accidents are undergoing treatment in various health facilities, according to inspector Shrestha.

The jeep with registration no (Lu 1 Ja 2297) coming to Khalanga from Chaurjahari municipality meet with an accident at Chaurjahari-4 on Sunday morning. Altogether 22 including the driver sustained injuries in the mishap.

The ill-fated jeep had fallen off the road into the Bheri River. Further investigation into the both accidents is underway, said DSP Namaraj Bhattarai at the District Police Office, Rukum Paschim.
