Halesi Tuwachung municipality unveils logo
Khotang: A logo of Halesi Tuwachung municipality has been unveiled. The official logo of the municipality prepared encompassing areas of the municipality with historical, religious and archaeological importance was made public.
Former Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat unveiled the logo after the 15th municipal assembly of the municipality approved the logo, Mayor Bimala Rai informed. Mahat along with lawmaker Saraswati Bajimaya and Mayor of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality Rai unveiled the logo coinciding the occasion of the 115th International Women’s Day.
The office of the municipality executive had earlier published a public notice for the creation of the municipality’s logo. Among seven logos collected in the municipality, the logo created by Santosh Dahal –a local of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-4, Badhare was selected as the best, spokesperson of the municipality and ward 7 chair Kamal Giri said.
The logo will be compulsorily worn by all the people’s representatives of the municipality.
Mayor Rai said that the logo has been made by incorporating areas of historical, religious and archaeological importance, including the tri-religious place of faith of Hindus, Buddhists and Kirat religions Halesi. Halesi Tuwachung Municipality is in the lap of the mountain so the logo has also included the mountain, Rai said.
