Baglung: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh said that the incumbent government was delivering by ensuring that there is hope among the public.
Addressing an event organized to declare Baglung Municipality in Baglung district a child-friendly municipality today, DPM Singh asserted that the government is committed to address frustrations among the citizens.
Stating that the government was prioritizing improvements in education, healthcare services, employment and professional sectors, Singh urged not to worry about country’s development. Expressing his concern increasing negative comments in public discourses lately, he requested people not to go by those rumours. According to him, the government was working to enhance quality of education, making it more practical and useful which, he believed, would contribute in producing more skilled human resources.
Acknowledging the disappointment among people over lack of stable government for a long time, he said that the incumbent government was delivering on development projects and addressing the needs of people. “It is incorrect to say that nothing substantial is happening in the country. There have been many significant changes. The desire of general public is unlimited and the government is gradually working to meet the demands and desires of public,” the DPM asserted. He noted the economic condition in the country had deteriorated due to COVID-19 pandemic and natural disasters and mentioned that the recovery was underway. Additionally, he claimed that with the formation of new government, hope is restoring among people.
DPM Singh pledged to allocate budget for timely construction of Ganeshman Singh Marga under construction at ward no 13 at the municipality. He also urged other municipalities to follow the Baglung municipality’ initiatives and work towards child-friendly municipalities.
