It took eight hours to clear the debris collected by the flood on the Koshi bridge. The water level in the Koshi River is receding. According to the Koshi Barrage Control Room, the flow of water has come down to 345,415 cusecs at 7.30 pm on Sunday.
On Saturday, 661,000 cusecs of water was measured in the River which was the highest in the history of 56 years. The incessant rainfall for the past couple of days had fed the river with flood, causing inundation in the eastern-hilly and Madhes-based Tarai districts.
