Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the environment for investment in the country should be improved to attract more domestic and foreign investment.
Receiving the performance report from Chief Executive Officer of Investment Board Nepal, Sushil Bhatta, here today, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chair of IBN, said that there should be continuous improvement of investment environment in the country.
“In order to attract more domestic and foreign private investment the environment for investing in the country should be improved while institutional capacity of the Board should be enhanced to develop it as a center of excellence of public-private partnership,” the Prime Minister said.
Submitting the performance report for the fiscal year 2023/24, CEO Bhatt shared the Prime Minister about the progress made for project development, investment promotion and institutional strengthening, problems encountered during project implementation, efforts made by the board to solve them, learning and experiences and the future scenario.
