Kathmandu: President Ramchandra Paudel has left the capital city of Qatar, Doha, this morning for Geneva in course of attending the 112th session of the International Labour Conference there.
Ambassador of Nepal to Qatar Naresh Bikram Dhakal, Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nepali embassy staff saw off the President-led delegation at Hamad International Airport on Tuesday night, President’s press advisor Kiran Pokharel told.
President Paudel is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President of the Swiss Confederation Viola Amherd today, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On Thursday, he will address the inaugural session of the Global Coalition Forum for Social Justice
Director General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Gilbert F. Houngbo is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Paudel tomorrow. President Paudel is scheduled to leave Geneva for Berlin on June 15.
President Paudel is on an official visit to Germany at the invitation of the German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. He will hold formal talks with his German counterpart on June 17. During his stay there, President Paudel is scheduled to visit the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research Institute, German Research for Geo-Science and Telegraph Feinberg Campus. He is also scheduled to visit the Cecilienhof and Sansoussi Palace Gardens and Museum.
The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Germany is scheduled to felicitate President Paudel on July 16. At the same programme, he will address Nepalis living in Germany. Similarly, the President is scheduled to meet industrialists and businessmen associated with Germany’s Trade and Investment on June 17. President Paudel is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on June 19.
