Damauli (Tanahun): President Ramchandra Paudel has laid emphasis on unity among all political parties for the cause of development.
Laying foundation stone for the elderly home to be constructed at Devghat rural municipality-5 in Tanahun on Saturday, President Paudel shared that he had been ever prodding political leaders to unite for development.
The President laid the foundation stone for the 18-room building to be constructed at the cost of Rs 150 million. The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen is constructing the home.
He noted that Gaighat area of Tanahun had witnessed sea change after democracy.
He said the elderly home to be constructed in Devghat – the confluence of scared Kaligandaki and Trishuli – would be developed as a hub for debating eastern philosophy and Vedanta thoughts.
