Kathmandu: “Nirphool”, a movie by director Phoolman Wal is being released finally, five years after completion of its production.
Dayahang Rai, Rekha Thapa, Shanti Waiba, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Rajan Khatiwada, among other are the lead characters in the film, which is based on story of a family separated due to the earthquake.
Speaking at a press meet held on Friday evening, Director Wal shared that the film, which tells the story of rebuilding broken hearts and relationships, took time to be screened due to various reasons, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I have always wanted to act in films that live on and this is one such movie “, actor Rai said, “The film tells the story of our society while also showcasing the beauty of Nepal.” The film has been reportedly shot in Rubi valley and Kathmandu.
Sachin Ghimire is the associate director of the movie, cinematography is by Pramod Karki, Nimesh Shrestha is the editor while the music is by Arjun Pokharel and Chandra Kumar Dong. It will come into theatres on coming June 9.
