Damak: Chairman of CPN UML and former prime minister KP Sharma Oli has said Nepal was facing problems of low-standard and toxic foods due to not being self-reliant on agricultural products.
Addressing a programme organized at Jhiljhile of his home district, Jhapa, Chairman Oli underscored the need for commercialization of agriculture and cooperation with South Asian countries for self-reliance. He also claimed that UML-led government had worked for modernization and commercialization of agriculture.
Chairman Oli has arrived here in course of attending the South Asian Farmers’ Conference. He is also scheduled to inaugurate the national conference of All Nepal Farmers’ Federation here next day.
The sixth national conference to be held at Indigenous Stadium of Kamal Rural Municipality-5 in the district. The event will also elect a new leadership.
