Kathmandu: After the directive of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the price of petroleum products.
The meeting of the board of directors of the corporation has reduced the retail price of petrol, diesel/kerosene and aviation fuel (domestic) with effect from 12 pm tonight.
The corporation has reduced the price of petrol and diesel/kerosene by Rs.3/ltr and aviation fuel (domestic) by Rs.20/ltr. According to the corporation, the price of petrol has decreased to Rs.175/ltr, the price of diesel/kerosene per liter is Rs.172/ltr, the price of aviation fuel (domestic) is Rs.170/ltr and the price of aviation fuel (international) is US$ 1.42 per liter.
Earlier, the price of petrol was Rs.178/ltr, diesel/kerosene was Rs.175/ltr and jet fuel (domestic) was priced at Rs.190/ltr and jet fuel (international) was priced at US$ 1.64/ltr.The corporation has kept the price of LP gas for cooking unchanged. Currently, the price of LP gas per cylinder remains at Rs.1,800.
Prime Minister Dahal had instructed the Commerce and Supply Secretary to reduce the price of petroleum products last Thursday. It is arranged that the Secretary of Commerce and Supply shall be the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation.
