Court ruling against Mayor Hark Sampang’s decision

Kathmandu: The Biratnagar High Court has ruled against the decision of Hark Sampang, mayor of Dharan sub-metropolitan city.
Bhim Bahadur Kalikote, head of Sunsari District Forest Office, filed a case in the court against the decision of Sampang who decided to open a soap industry in the forest.
The court stated that Sampang’s move was “prima facie illegal” and issued an interim order to stop the construction of the soap industry.
A joint bench of Judges Ram Bahadur Thapa and Kiran Kumari Gupta gave an interim order on Wednesday not to proceed with any work until the last edge of the application is reached.
