Probability of Light rain and snowfall
Kathmandu: Light rain and snowfall is likely to take place in some places with partial to normal change in the weather in the hilly areas of the country today.
Partial rain and light snowfall is likely in the hilly areas of Province No. 1, Bagmati and Gandaki, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The weather will remain generally clear in the rest of the country.
Furthermore, tonight there will be partial to complete change in the weather in the hilly areas of Province No. 1, partial change in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki and the weather will be generally clear in the remaining areas.
Meanwhile, the department has requested all to take necessary precautions to avoid cold as there is possibility that the temperature will decrease gradually, especially in some parts of Tarai in the morning.
According to the latest information of the Weather Forecast Division, the minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley today is 7.6 degrees and the maximum temperature is 18.7 degrees Celsius. The lowest minimum temperature has been recorded in Jumla at – 4.5 degrees and the maximum temperature in Janakpur at 24.8 degrees Celsius.
