Kathmandu: There is likelihood of light rain and snowfall in the next two or three days due to the influence of the Westerly wind, the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, said.
Meteorologist at the Division, Heera Bhattarai said that light rain and snowfall is likely tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday due to the impact of the Westerly wind. “Cold will increase as mercury will dip due to snowfall and this might have general impact on life,” she said, adding that the weather will be affected somewhat from this evening but more impact would be felt in the western part of the country.
The likelihood of rain and snowfall is more in Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces. Similarly, light rain will take place in Province no 1, Gandaki province, Sudurpaschim province and Karnali province with chances of light snowfall in the high mountain region of these provinces.
The weather bulletin published by the Division states that there is possibility of light rain at one or two places of the hilly region of Province no 1 today. Light snowfall is likely in some places of the mountainous region of Province no 1 and Gandaki province.
Likewise, there is possibility of light snowfall at one or two places of the mountainous region of Gandaki province, Karnali province and Sudurpascbhhim province tonight.
There are chances of light rainfall at one or two places of the hilly region of Province no 1, Gandaki province, Karnali province and Sudurpaschim province tomorrow as well. Light snowfall is predicted in few places of the mountainous region of Sudurpaschim province and Karnali province tomorrow, the Division stated.
