Petroleum prices cannot be reduced: NOC

Kathmandu : Nepal Oil Corporation has clarified that prices of petroleum products cannot be reduced.
The reduced prices of fuel has come from Indian Oil Corporation, as the pressure to reduce the price also increased in Nepal, the corporation issued a notice on Wednesday saying that the price will not decrease.
Stating that even now there is a monthly loss of 1.27 billion in petroleum products, the corporation said that it is obligued not to reduce the price.
“According to the new price list received last time, it is seen that the corporation will incur a loss of Rs 635.8 million in 15 days,” said the statement issued by the corporation on Wednesday.
